Wild chimpanzee populations are in serious decline. And captive chimpanzees are suffering in labs, show business, roadside zoos and as pets.

Yet chimps are highly intelligent and our closest relatives. They deserve better!

ChimpSaver is here to give you the resources you need to help chimpanzees.

Our Mission

Our dream is for wild chimps and their forests to be protected, and for captive chimps to be retired to sanctuaries. Our mission is to protect chimpanzees by educating people and growing a global community of advocates looking for exciting new opportunities to be the change.

Chimpanzees are extinct in four African countries and severely threatened in ten others. Yet few people have any inkling of the situation or of what fascinating beings they are. We must urgently educate people if we are going to save them.
